Lesson 267 My Heart Is Beating In The Peace of God

PART II.  SECTION 5:  WHAT IS THE BODY?

Lesson 267 My Heart is Beating in the Peace of God.

  1. Surrounding me is all the life that God created in His Love.  It calls to me in every heartbeat and in every breath; in every action and in every thought.  Peace fills my heart and floods my body with the purpose of forgiveness.  Now my mind is healed, and all I need to save the world is given me.  Each heartbeat brings me peace; each breath infuses me with strength.  I am a messenger of God, directed by His Voice, sustained by Him in love, and held forever quiet and at peace within His loving Arms.  Each heartbeat calls His Name, and every one is answered by His Voice, assuring me I am at home in Him.
  2. Let me attend Your Answer, not my own.  Father, my heart is beating in the peace the Heart of Love created.  It is there and only there that I can be at home.[1]

We are enveloped in an inner world of love calling us with each heartbeat and with each breath, in everything we do and in everything we think.  Peace bubbles up from our spiritual core, and our whole beings are awash in forgiveness.  A right mind!  All that would save the world is given us, for every heartbeat brings more peace, and each breath we take infuses us with might.  We are messengers of God, directed by His Voice, Holy Spirit implanted within.  We are sustained by His Love.  This inner kingdom is forever calm and filled with joy, for we stay sheltered within His Arms.  Our heartbeats call His Name, and each one is rejoined by His Voice, declaring we are home in Him.

Dear Father, let me listen and respond to Your Response and not my own!  When my mind is full of thousands of answers, with its dreams and schemes and go-nowhere ideas, let my mind be quiet and listen for Your Voice and Your Answer.  My heart is beating, thrum, thrum, thrum, in peace and joy and happiness. Heart of Love, You created my heart, and it is in You and only in You where I find meaning and purpose.  Where I find my home.  In Jesus name.  Amen.

Coming up on sixty, my love for God, home and hearth, my husband and family fueled my decision to devote the rest of my life only to pursuits which brought love, joy, peace, and purpose. I am a writer, seeker, student, and teacher with experience professional and otherwise from waitressing to teaching the English language in China, Taiwan, and Singapore. I hold a BA in Psychology from Bloomsburg University, which took nearly 30 years to attain while I squeezed courses in between raising my children, journaling, relationships, work, and an assortment of escapades, some of which I would rather forget! An ongoing passion for reading, writing, adventure, food, and fun, eventually led me to the love of my life, James, whom I met in 1996 and married in 1997. Our life together has been an exciting journey of work and travel, spiritual awakening, and domestic bliss ever since. Although we have experienced the tragic loss of family members and friends through death and estrangement, we have managed to turn our special relationship into a holy one by the grace of God and an acute and growing awareness of “there must be a better way!” In 2006, I published my first novel, Luella’s Calling, and am currently working on my second, Grover Good and the Stone Chateau. From 2013 through 2018, I worked as a Prevention Education Specialist for Transitions, a local domestic violence sexual abuse victim’s service agency. My work there, fueled by a lifelong enthusiasm for teaching, led me to obtain an MS in Education from Scranton University. In 2018, I resigned to accompany James on his work travels while focusing on my calling to study and teach A Course in Miracles. To that end, I dedicate the rest of my days to writing, sharing, and teaching the message of salvation found within the Course pages. Thank you for your interest in this blog.
