Lesson 326 I Am Forever An Effect Of God

II.  SECTION 11.  What is Creation?

Lesson 326 I am forever an Effect of God.

  1. Father, I was created in Your mind, a holy Thought that never left its home.  I am forever Your Effect, and You forever and forever are my Cause.  As You created me, I have remained.  Where You established me, I still abide.  And all Your attributes abide in me, because it is Your Will to have a Son so like his Cause that Cause, and Its Effect are indistinguishable.  Let me know that I am an Effect of God, and so I have the power to create like You.  And as it is in Heaven, so on earth.  Your plan I follow here, and at the end I know that You will gather Your effects into the tranquil Heaven of Your Love, where earth will vanish, and all separate thoughts unite in glory as the Son of God.
  2. Let us today behold earth disappear, at first transformed, and then, forgiven, fade entirely into God’s holy Will.[1]

We are at home in the mind of God, our Father.  He will never forget us or forsake us, for we are forever together, and we are as God created us.  He has given us all of His own holy attributes because we are His Sons and made in His image.  Jesus tells us today in our lesson that it is God’s Will that we are indistinguishable from our Father, that Cause and Effect are made one!

In our prayer today we ask our Father to let us know, to give us this knowledge and understanding and experience of knowing who we are as an Effect of God, as one with God.  Let us create with God and as God – Just as God creates in Heaven, let us, we pray, create on earth.  Let us be the return of Christ and create His Kingdom, giving up the ego world that we have made!  Let us, we pray, follow God’s plan and have the surety of the holy outcome where our Father gathers all of us into the tranquility and peace of His love and His kingdom, and what we have made in our temporal kingdom will disappear, as we unite in the Sonship of God.

Our lesson today urges us to see the earth fade away, to disappear, it says.  First it will be transformed into love and light, joy and peace as we see our world through the holy perception of Holy Spirit, and then we realize what it was and what it was meant for, why it was given us.  We are called to forgive our journey through time – the hardships, sorrow, and confusion – for what we have learned and what we have gained will hold us forever in God’s Will as God’s beloved Son.

My love for God, home and hearth, my husband and family fueled my decision to devote the rest of my life only to pursuits which brought love, joy, peace, and purpose. I am a writer, seeker, student, and teacher with experience professional and otherwise from waitressing to teaching the English language in China, Taiwan, and Singapore. I hold a BA in Psychology from Bloomsburg University, which took nearly 30 years to attain while I squeezed courses in between raising my children, journaling, relationships, work, and an assortment of escapades, some of which I would rather forget! An ongoing passion for reading, writing, adventure, food, and fun, eventually led me to the love of my life, James, whom I met in 1996 and married in 1997. Our life together has been an exciting journey of work and travel, spiritual awakening, and domestic bliss ever since. Although we have experienced the tragic loss of family members and friends through death and estrangement, we have managed to turn our special relationship into a holy one by the grace of God and an acute and growing awareness of “there must be a better way!” In 2006, I published my first novel, Luella’s Calling, and am currently working on my second, Grover Good and the Stone Chateau. From 2013 through 2018, I worked as a Prevention Education Specialist for Transitions, a local domestic violence sexual abuse victim’s service agency. My work there, fueled by a lifelong enthusiasm for teaching, led me to obtain an MS in Education from Scranton University. In 2018, I resigned to accompany James on his work travels while focusing on my calling to study and teach A Course in Miracles. To that end, I dedicate the rest of my days to writing, sharing, and teaching the message of salvation found within the Course pages. Thank you for your interest in this blog.
