Part 1 Undoing the Way We See Things Now

LESSON 113 Morning and Evening Review

Lesson 95 and 96

  1. (95)  I am one Self, united with my Creator.  Serenity and perfect peace are mine, because I am one Self, completely whole, at one with all creation and with God.
  2.  (96) Salvation comes from my one Self.  From my one Self, Whose knowledge still remains within my mind, I see God’s perfect plan for my salvation perfectly fulfilled.
  3. On the hour:  I am one Self, united with my Creator. On the half hour:   Salvation comes from my one Self. [1]

Notes and Personal Application:  Last year when I was going through the Course lessons for the first time, it was the meditation from this lesson review that seemed to open my consciousness and understanding about our Oneness with God.  Jesus knew that there was no separating us from God. Jesus accepted His function as God’s Son and calls for us to do the same. He taught us that the Kingdom of God is within us – where nobody ever thinks to look – for all that would save them. Serenity and perfect peace are ours, Jesus tells us, when we recognize our completeness in God, our oneness in Him.  We do not become nothing, we become everything!

Salvation comes from this Oneness.  The split and separated mind is no more.  We are not half ego and half spirit.  We are all spirit, we are all Mind, as our Course calls it.  We have the Mind of God and can no longer be deceived by that which is not love.  Lesson 96 teaches us that the knowledge of this holy Self is implanted into our minds.  There is nothing that can take it away.  Perhaps we have lost recognition of it. Perhaps the concerns and cares of the world hides it from our awareness, but it still remains.  The plan of salvation is perfectly fulfilled when we see ourselves as One with God and with all of creation. When we see ourselves as One we know that we cannot receive without giving or give without receiving.  We know that as we do unto others, it is done to ourselves, because we are One. Creation then is saved from the devices of the ego which would tear, and devour, and destroy. We study war no more!  We have no interest in lies and deceit and destruction.  Salvation has come to the world.  That which is unholy is no more.  Even the wild animals, lifted from the curse of split natures, are so harmless that our little ones can go out and play amongst them.[2]

Repeat these ideas today as often as you can and ask the Lord to make their meaning known to you. “I am one Self, united with my Creator.  Salvation comes from my one Self.”

My love for God, home and hearth, my husband and family fueled my decision to devote the rest of my life only to pursuits which brought love, joy, peace, and purpose. I am a writer, seeker, student, and teacher with experience professional and otherwise from waitressing to teaching the English language in China, Taiwan, and Singapore. I hold a BA in Psychology from Bloomsburg University, which took nearly 30 years to attain while I squeezed courses in between raising my children, journaling, relationships, work, and an assortment of escapades, some of which I would rather forget! An ongoing passion for reading, writing, adventure, food, and fun, eventually led me to the love of my life, James, whom I met in 1996 and married in 1997. Our life together has been an exciting journey of work and travel, spiritual awakening, and domestic bliss ever since. Although we have experienced the tragic loss of family members and friends through death and estrangement, we have managed to turn our special relationship into a holy one by the grace of God and an acute and growing awareness of “there must be a better way!” In 2006, I published my first novel, Luella’s Calling, and am currently working on my second, Grover Good and the Stone Chateau. From 2013 through 2018, I worked as a Prevention Education Specialist for Transitions, a local domestic violence sexual abuse victim’s service agency. My work there, fueled by a lifelong enthusiasm for teaching, led me to obtain an MS in Education from Scranton University. In 2018, I resigned to accompany James on his work travels while focusing on my calling to study and teach A Course in Miracles. To that end, I dedicate the rest of my days to writing, sharing, and teaching the message of salvation found within the Course pages. Thank you for your interest in this blog.
