II. SECTION 13. What is a Miracle?
Lesson 348 I have no cause for anger or for fear, for You surround me.
And in every need that I perceive, Your grace suffices.
- Father, let me remember You are here, and I am not alone. Surrounding me is everlasting Love. I have no cause for anything except the perfect peace and joy I share with You. What need have I for anger or for fear? Surrounding me is perfect safety. Can I be afraid when Your eternal promise goes with me? Surrounding me is perfect sinlessness. What can I fear when You created me in holiness as perfect as Your Own?
- God’s grace suffices us in everything that He would have us do. And only that we choose, to be our will, as well as His.[1]
Today we learn of God’s grace. God’s grace is sufficient for everything we are called to do. We will not be called to do miracles that are impossible for us to offer. We will not be given burdens that break our backs and stress our spirits. We are not called to be martyrs. We are not called to sacrifice. We are not called to prostrate ourselves before God and beg and plead with Him, as if He would withhold any good thing from us unless we grovel before Him.
Today we are offered another opportunity to know God as He is – our Father Who is with us, Who never abandoned us, Whose Love surrounds us like the air we breathe. Our Father created us in Love and for love. He gives us perfect peace and joy. If we have anger and fear in our heart it did not come from Him. If we feel uncertain and unsafe, our trust is not in God. We simply cannot be afraid when we believe in His love for us. God’s grace has created us sinless, holy, and pure and nothing can change that.
Today put away any vestiges of anger and fear. This is what hinders your miracle and the miracles you are called to offer others. Healing comes to those who forgive, who bring their anger and their fear and lay it down on the altar before God. God does not require us to give Him gifts of silver and gold. These substances may be precious to us, but God is and has Everything already, brother. All God wants from us is what does not serve us. He wants our anger and our fear, He wants our heartache and shame, He wants our diseases and disorders. When all that is worthless is cleared from our consciousness, we can know Him and love Him, and when that happens, nothing can tempt us to turn on Him, to make up stories about Him, to use His Name in vain, or to be anything less than what He has called us to be. For to know Him is to remember His grace, His elegance, His beauty, His Kindness, His Humor, His Wisdom, His Wit. He is our Creator. He is our Friend. He is our Beginning and He is without end.
When we remember God nothing is impossible for us. For it is His grace which draws us to Him and it is His grace that reminds us of who and what we are in Him. Today give your anger and fear to God. Say, “Here it is, Lord. I do not want it anymore. I only want what You have for me.” Do not be afraid. Give Him your will; make His Will your will. This is the way to miracles.
