Part 1 Undoing the Way We See Things Now
Lesson 110 I Am As God Created Me.
We will repeat today’s idea from time to time. For this one thought would be enough to save you and the world, if you believe that it is true. Its truth would mean that you have made no changes in yourself that have reality, nor change the universe so that what God created was replaced by fear and evil, misery and death. If you remain as God created you fear has no meaning, evil is not real, and misery and death do not exist.
Today’s idea is therefor all you need to let complete correction heal your mind and give you perfect vision that will heal all the mistakes that any mind has made at any time or place. It is enough to heal the past and make the future free. It is enough to let the present be accepted as it is. It is enough to let time be the means for all the world to learn escape from time and every change that time appears to bring in passing by.
If you remain as God created you, appearances cannot replace the truth, health cannot turn to sickness, nor can death be substitute for life, or fear for love. All this has not occurred, if you remain as God created you. You need no thought but just this one, to let redemption come to light the world and free it from the past.
In this one thought is all the past undone; the present saved to quietly extend into a timeless future. If you are as God created you, then there has been no separation of your mind from His, no split between your mind and other minds, and only unity within your own.
The healing power of today’s idea is limitless. It is the birthplace of all miracles, the great restorer of the truth to the awareness of the world. Practice today’s idea with gratitude. This is a truth that comes to set you free. This is the truth that God has promised you. This is the Word in which all sorrow ends.
For your five-minute practice periods, begin with this quotation from the text: I am as God created me. His son can suffer nothing. And I am His Son.
Then, with this statement firmly in your mind, try to discover in your mind the Self Who is the holy Son of God Himself.
Seek Him within you who is Christ in you, the Son of God and brother to the world; the Savior who has been forever saved, with power to save whoever touches Him, however lightly, asking for the word that tells Him he is brother unto Him.
You are as God created you. Today honor your Self. Let graven images you made to be the Son of God instead of what He is be worshipped not today. Deep in your mind the holy Christ in you is waiting your acknowledgement as you. And you are lost and do not know yourself while He is unacknowledged and unknown.
Seek Him today and find Him. He will be your Savior from all idols you have made. For when you find Him, you will understand how worthless are your idols and how false the images which you believed were you. Today we make a great advance to truth by letting idols go and opening our hands and hearts and minds to God today.
We will remember Him throughout the day with thankful hearts and loving thoughts for all who meet with us today. For it is thus that we remember Him. And we will say that we may be reminded of His Son, our holy Self, the Christ in each of us: I am as God created me. Let us declare this truth as often as we can. This is the Word of God that sets you free. This is the key that opens up the gate of heaven, and that lets you enter in the peace of God and His eternity.
Notes and Personal Application: Again, Jesus gives us a lesson idea that is enough to save us and the world when we believe it is true. He is asking us to see that no matter what we experience in the physical realm, in reality there is nothing we could have really done to change what God created. There is absolutely no way we could take His creation and put in its place one of evil and of fear. If we grasp onto this truth, we will see no contradiction in God is everything and everywhere and therefore everything and everywhere there must be love and joy and peace.
The concept of remaining as God has created us, teaches that our perceptions do not take the place of truth. Sickness, death, and terror are the result of separation from God, Who is everything and everywhere. The physical realm is a substitute for reality; it is a place of nothingness, a place of emptiness, a place of no thing, and no where. When we believe that we are as God created us, we understand that we are not bodies; we are not physical. Indeed, we are Sons of God; we are miracle workers; we speak the truth; we are liberators.
For our practice periods today we make statements that reinforce this truth in our minds: I am as God created me. His Son can suffer nothing. And I am His Son. Jesus urges us to seek in our minds the Self that never separated from the Father within, the Self who is one with Christ, the holy Son of God. Jesus, never lost, abides within each one of us. He declares Himself our brother and shares His power to save those that reach out to Him.
When we accept that we are as God created us, we honor, instead of dishonor, ourselves and our Creator. The false self-concepts that we had cherished and proclaimed, are now exposed for the shams they are – we are not bodies. We are not egos. We are not craven beasts manipulated and driven by greed and lust and hunger. We are as God created us. We step up and claim our birthright, our Godhood, our inheritance. We are no longer lost and confused – hiding behind the color of our skin or allowing our genitals to define us. We are not defined by our cults and denominations, our cultures, or our politics. We give up the games of blame, of shame, of fame. We let all those idols go – those flimsy, ludicrous miscreants. We are as God created us.

Part 1 Undoing the Way We See Things Now
Lesson 103 God, Being Love, is Also Happiness.
- Happiness is an attribute of love. It cannot be apart from it. Nor can it be experienced where love is not. Love has no limits, being everywhere. And therefore, joy is everywhere as well. Yet can the mind deny that this is so, believing there are gaps in love where sin can enter, bringing pain instead of joy. This strange belief would limit happiness by redefining love as limited and introducing opposition in what has no limit and no opposite.
- Fear is associated then with love, and its results become the heritage of minds that think what they have made is real. These images, with no reality in truth, bear witness to the fear of God, forgetting being Love, He must be joy. This basic error we will try again to bring to truth today, and teach ourselves: God, being love, is also happiness. To fear him is to be afraid of joy. Begin your periods of practicing today with this association, which corrects the false belief that God is fear. It also emphasizes happiness belongs to you, because of what He is.
- Allow this one correction to be placed within your mind each waking hour today. Then welcome all the happiness it brings as truth replaces fear, and joy becomes what you expect to take the place of pain. God, being love, it will be given you. Bolster this expectation frequently throughout the day, and quiet all your fears with this assurance, kind and wholly true: God being love is also happiness. And it is happiness I seek today. I cannot fail, because I seek the truth.
Fear is so mixed with love in my mind. It colors every single relationship that I have. I am afraid to love people, afraid that they are going to take something from me, suck me dry, use me up, and than cast me off like an empty bottle. Throughout my life most relationships bring me love and pain through psychic torment. There are many supposed reasons for this particular disorder of mine. As a prevention educator, I became familiar with the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) study. Proposed by the Center for Disease Control as a means to understand tendencies for violent, chaotic, unhappy relationships as an adult, the study is useful as a tool to prevent, through education and social change, health and well-being deficits throughout the lifespan.
According to the medical professionals who developed the ACE questionnaire, the chance for health in relationships and otherwise diminish drastically with a score of four or more on the 11-statement test. My score is a seven. At one point in my life’s journey, this troubled me greatly. I was driven, not only to understand my own challenges, but to help others become aware of the critical role that preventing childhood abuse, sexually and otherwise, play in well-being throughout the natural life.
However, Holy Spirit called me to address separation. There is no study in the world that will begin to touch upon the ultimate adversity, terror, and long-term ill effects of being ignorant of our true identity in God. Our religious holy books attempt to do this. Spiritual practices, such as outlined in A Course in Miracles also draw us close to our reality. Ultimately, it is the Voice for God within, which informs us and gently guides our return – when we are ready to listen.
Jesus tells us in today’s lesson that happiness is an attribute of love. Happiness cannot be experienced without love, and love is everywhere, because God is love. Joy and love are everywhere then, and it is the ego that tempts our mind to experience and to believe otherwise. The ego implants the idea of love’s opposite which is an impossibility given that love and joy are, as an attribute of God, everywhere. We fall into this temptation when we take on bodies and forget our spirits. Our bodies bear witness to the fear of God – we forget He is Love and forget that Love and Joy are one. As long as we identify with our body, we will not learn this lesson – as long as we bear grudges toward other bodies, we will not accept that God, being Love, is also happiness. It is an impossibility to apply this lesson to the symbols of the ego.
When our political leaders behave like wayward teens, when friends deceive us, when our parents abuse us or allow others to relate to us in inappropriate ways, when beloved family members wear us down with bad manners and lack of respect, when people take more than they give back – we experience the ego’s call to fear. We are tempted to fight or take flight. We are tempted to forget that we are not bodies, but Spirits. We are tempted to believe that time is real, and that bodies – what they do or fail to do – can take our salvation away. When atrocities fill our minds with dread and horror, we have forgotten that we are in a separated state, and that it cannot be real because it is not forever. We are tempted to blame God, to fear Him, to believe that He is punishing us or stealing our joy to teach us a lesson.
Jesus tells us to correct this false belief today by allowing our minds to meditate upon our lesson idea. God is not fear, God is love. God being love, is happiness. Seek happiness today. When we seek happiness, we cannot fail, because we are seeking the truth.

Zachary chose this recipe for his birthday cake this year. We had so much fun putting this together. We chose to make the 2/3 recipe because a three layer cake seemed like too much. Afterthought: One could not get enough of this cake or the luscious frosting. Next time we will make the whole recipe and have three yummy layers instead of only two! We would keep the cake from slumping next time by inserting some chopsticks to hold it in place after frosting it with the creamy, buttery rich icing.
This is how it turned out!
