Part 2:2 WHAT IS SALVATION
Lesson 240 Fear Is Not Justified In Any Form.
- Fear is deception. It attests that you have seen yourself as you could never be, and therefore look upon a world which is impossible. Not one thing in this world is true. It does not matter what the form in which it may appear. It witnesses but to your own illusions of yourself. Let us not be deceived today. We are the Sons of God. There is no fear in us, for we are each a part of Love Itself.
- How foolish are our fears! Would You allow Your Son to suffer? Give us faith today to recognize Your Son and set him free. Let us forgive him in Your Name, that we may understand his holiness and feel the love for him, which is Your Own as well.[1]
Thoughts for Today
Jesus teaches that this world, the way we see it, experience it, and fear it – is impossible. It cannot exist. It cannot be true. No matter how real it may seem it is simply a lie, an illusion, an intolerable, infeasible realm. No matter what form the world’s madness takes, it can only be a strange, unholy, and twisted version of the truth.
We are not to fear the world and we are not to fear God. God did not make Creation to fear Him. He made Creation as an extension of Himself. He did not seek to be catered to – God has no need of servants. He is a Spirit and not flesh. He does not need anybody to scratch His back, trim His whiskers, or massage His shoulders. God did not make Creation to kill it, torture it, or bully it. God did not create because He longed to be admired, worshipped, or slavishly adored or praised. He made Creation as an extension of His Love and Creativity. He made Creation as a holy and equal companion to Himself. He breathed His Life into us, He gave Creation to us. He trusted us with Creation and He still trusts us with Creation.
Today Jesus tells us we are deceived by fear no longer. We are wise to it. No longer does the world witness to our separation from God. We do not worry about what the world thinks of us, because it is not real. We have no concerns of what army may be raised against us, because it is not real. When we know who and what we are there is no fear in us for our trust is in Reality, our Creator and our holy Selves, His Creation. Only when the truth of our identity becomes real to us, will we be able to see the folly of fear. Today our lesson instructs us to ask God for the faith we need to recognize our true identity in Him. In Him, we free ourselves of sin, suffering, and stupidity. In Christ, fear is not justified in any form.
Let our hearts and minds be full of courage!
